小渔阅读“小小三剑客“课程为4-6年级学生设计,以拓展阅读宽度与深度、发展书面及口语表达为目标,通过不同体裁及体裁文本的阅读、写作及演讲等,重点开发识文断字能力、读理解能力,文字表述能力等。

通过多样化的选材,帮助学生搭建丰富的知识结构,提高对美丑善恶的辨识力,建立正确的世界观,激发求知欲。

本课程不仅能帮助学生提高在校成绩,也同时增强学生在课外活动和竞赛中的竞争力。

小小三剑客“阅读课程采用分层递进式结构,每一期分三个单元,每个单元选取不同题材,搭配不同技能的训练,以达到全面提升的效果。

This plan combines a variety of writing tasks with critical thinking and discussion to enhance students' understanding of the novel's themes and encourage personal reflection. These tasks not only adhere to the Ontario Grade 5 and 6 English curriculum but also enrich students' learning experiences by fostering essential skills such as critical thinking, empathy, and effective communication.

 

Lesson 1: Introduction to "Wonder"

  • Objective: Introduce the book and discuss initial themes and expectations.
  • Class Activities:
    • Welcome and brief overview of the book.
    • Teacher reads Chapter 1 aloud to the class.
    • Students silently read Chapter 2 in class.
  • Homework:
    • Reading: Read chapters 3-15. (Introduction of Auggie and his family, start of school)
    • Writing Task: Write a short paragraph about first impressions of Auggie.

 

Lesson 2: Auggie's World

  • Objective: Understand Auggie's perspective and challenges.
  • Class Activities:
    • Discuss Auggie's experiences and initial reactions from his peers.
  • Homework:
    • Reading: Read chapters 16-30. (Auggie's initial school experiences, friendships)
    • Writing Task: Journal entry from Auggie's perspective about his first day at school.

 

Lesson 3: Family Dynamics and Friendships

  • Objective: Explore family dynamics and friendships in the story.
  • Class Activities:
    • Character study on Via and her relationship with Auggie.
  • Homework:
    • Reading: Read chapters 31-45. (Via's perspective, her life and challenges)
    • Writing Task: Write a letter from Via to her friends explaining her brother's condition.
