该课程秋季17次课，内容涵盖12年级高等函数大纲知识点；春季(2-6月)17次课，内容加入高等函数提升部分（滑铁卢11-12年级难度的数学竞赛知识点） 并开始学习pre Calculus 

This course extends students' experience with functions. Students will investigate the properties of polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions; develop techniques for combining functions; broaden their understanding of rates of change; and develop facility in applying these concepts and skills.

 Students will also refine their use of the mathematical processed

s necessary for success in senior mathematics. This course is intended for students who choose to pursue careers in fields such as science, engineering, economics, and some areas of business, including those students who will be required to take a university-level calculus, linear algebra, or physics course.

This course builds on students’ previous experience with functions and their developing understanding of rates of change. Students will solve problems involving geometric and algebraic representations of vectors and representations of lines and planes in three dimensional space; broaden their understanding of rates of change to include the derivatives of polynomial, sinusoidal, exponential, rational, and radical functions; and apply these concepts and skills to the modelling of real-world relationships.

Vince老师, McMaster大学数学专业毕业，HALTON教育局高中退休教师，拥有32年高中数学教学经验，教授9-12年级数学及物理学科课程，于2021年退休并返聘回学校继续工作。

Vince老师曾担任学校的部门主管(Department Head, Mathematics and Computer Science)，高中副校长(Secondary School Vice-Principal)，在担任管理工作的过程中，Vince老师坚持进行数学教学和课外辅导。

Vince老师对教学工作充满热情，责任心极强，特别注重教学方法，善于发掘学生不理解的难点，并尝试用不同的方式提问直到学生恍然大悟。
