-This course introduces the mathematical concept of the function by extending students’ experiences with linear and quadratic relations.
- Students will investigate properties of discrete and continuous functions, including trigonometric and exponential functions; represent functions numerically, algebraically, and graphically; solve problems involving applications of functions; investigate inverse functions; and develop facility in determining equivalent algebraic expressions.
3-4人班：$45.00/小时

老师介绍：
Vince老师, McMaster大学数学专业毕业，HALTON教育局高中退休教师，拥有32年高中数学教学经验，教授9-12年级数学及物理学科课程，于2021年退休并返聘回学校继续工作。
Vince老师曾担任学校的部门主管(Department Head, Mathematics and Computer Science)，高中副校长(Secondary School Vice-Principal)，在担任管理工作的过程中，Vince老师坚持进行数学教学和课外辅导。
Vince老师对教学工作充满热情，责任心极强，特别注重教学方法，善于发掘学生不理解的难点，并尝试用不同的方式提问直到学生恍然大悟。
Vince老师说 “我女儿的出生让我成为更好的老师，尤其是当她开始上学以后。我希望她的老师是富有爱心和同情心，且有帮助的。既然我对别的老师有这样的要求，我也开始反思我自己的教学... 家长把孩子委托给我，正如我把女儿交给其他老师一样，带着同样的信任与期待..."
