这是一个文学分析讨论课，有大量的提问与发言的互动，为保证授课质量，需要学生和家长配合如下：

  1. 学生是自愿参加学习，有学习的主动性，课前必须按要求完成阅读材料。

  2. 课后写作作业可以按照学生实际情况尽可能完成，在截止日之前提交的作业老师会批改并给出评语。

  3. 报名前请联系管理员 (wechat: keenkiz01) 或者Fiona (647-299-8616) 确定适合报名的课程级别。

  4. 请假需要提前一周通知管理员或者Fiona，以便安排录课或到平行班补课。

  5. 线上课程，必须全程打开摄像头。必须尊重老师和同学。

Objective:

• Deeper theoretical models to question and analyze texts and society.
• Building on models in grade 10-11 level.
• Arguments are explicit; evidence is clear; essay is unified = skills to support writing
• Learning not just the historical past/ introduction to advanced theory, but developing methods to apply learning to other texts.
• Greater expectations for personal reflection and critical thinking.
• Expected to use course discussions and modelling of literature analysis as a method not a rule. 
• Very stringent expectations for grammar and punctuation.
• Must start to do research
• Challenging texts with serious content. Advanced ideas in the history of thought and introductions to current parameters of disciplinary approaches.
• Questioning bias and authority/ critiquing thinkers. Applying critical methods to frame historical moments.
• Expected to perfect essay writing skills from the 9-10 level.
