Objective & Description: 

This will prepare students for the SPH3U course which develops students’ understanding of the
basic concepts of physics. Students will explore kinematics, with an emphasis on linear motion;
different kinds of forces; energy transformations; the properties of mechanical waves and sound;
and electricity and magnetism. They will enhance their scientific investigation skills as they test
laws of physics. In addition, they will analyse the interrelationships between physics and

technology, and consider the impact of technological applications of physics on society and the
environment.

PREREQUISITES
Grade 10 Science (SNC2D)

About Teacher:

老师介绍:

Riaz 是一位经验丰富的物理老师，4 年来一直在小渔学堂授课。 他毕业于麦克马斯特大学，获得医学和生物物理学理学学士学位。 他在 Appleby College 担任实习教师 ，与 Anjuli Ahooja 博士一起工作，教授 10 年级的科学和物理及AP物理。

Riaz 拥有独特的学术和研究经验，曾在 Cecile Fradin 博士手下的 Fradin 实验室工作，研究趋磁细菌周围的流体流动。  他曾是大学物理学本科生主席 (McMaster) Fiona McNeill 博士的研究员，创建人类精确的猪皮模型。

Riaz 在小渔学堂已经是大家熟悉的面孔，之前曾为各个年龄段的学生教授辩论和公开演讲，并取得了巨大成功。 他对科学学科，丰富的教学经验和对教育工作的热爱，使他成为帮孩子打下坚实基础的好老师。
