Objective:

Math Plus aims to equip all students with the knowledge, understanding and intellectual capabilities to address further courses in mathematics, as well as to prepare those students who will use mathematics in their workplace and life in general.

Students will develop the following skills over their period of study in mathematics:

• Knowledge-acquisition skills: An understanding of mathematical concepts and ideas, as defined in the framework.

目标：通过新加坡数学的思维体系，帮助学生提高对数学学科的兴趣与自信，加强与巩固数学思维能力。 

本课程分为两期 (part 1 and 2)，完成新加坡数学Book 8A和8B两本书。

老师介绍：

Vince老师, McMaster大学数学专业毕业，HALTON教育局高中退休教师，拥有32年高中数学教学经验，教授9-12年级数学及物理学科课程，于2021年退休并返聘回学校继续工作。

Vince老师曾担任学校的部门主管(Department Head, Mathematics and Computer Science)，高中副校长(Secondary School Vice-Principal)，在担任管理工作的过程中，Vince老师坚持进行数学教学和课外辅导。

Vince老师对教学工作充满热情，责任心极强，特别注重教学方法，善于发掘学生不理解的难点，并尝试用不同的方式提问直到学生恍然大悟。

Vince老师说 “我女儿的出生让我成为更好的老师，尤其是当她开始上学以后。我希望她的老师是富有爱心和同情心，且有帮助的。既然我对别的老师有这样的要求，我也开始反思我自己的教学... 家长把孩子委托给我，正如我把女儿交给其他老师一样，带着同样的信任与期待..."
