小渔阅读“小小三剑客“课程为4-6年级学生设计,以拓展阅读宽度与深度、发展书面及口语表达为目标,通过不同体裁及体裁文本的阅读、写作及演讲等,重点开发识文断字能力、阅读理解能力,文字表述能力等。通过多样化的选材,帮助学生搭建丰富的知识结构,提高对美丑善恶的辨识力,建立正确的世界观,激发求知欲。本课程不仅能帮助学生提高在校成绩,也同时增强学生在课外活动和竞赛中的竞争力。“小小三剑客“阅读课程采用分层递进式结构,每一期分三个单元,每个单元选取不同题材,搭配不同技能的训练,以达到全面提升的效果。
本期为社会学类阅读与写作单元,包含一篇人物传记中篇、一篇短文、一次演讲,课程设计如下:
Lesson 1: Discovering the Unknown with Ferdinand Magellan
Book: Who Was Ferdinand Magellan?
Objectives
Students will:
* Understand beliefs during the Age of Exploration
* Learn and apply key vocabulary (e.g., voyage, circumnavigate)
* Reflect on the risks and bravery of explorers
* Write a creative story as a 1500s explorer
* Share and discuss their ideas aloud
Lesson Outline
1. Warm-Up: “What If the Earth Was Flat?”
Prompt discussion about ancient beliefs (falling off the Earth, sea monsters). Share and list student ideas.
2. Read-Aloud & Comprehension
Read selected pages aloud. Pause for discussion:
What did people fear about exploring?
What made Magellan brave?
3. Mapping the Journey
Label Portugal, Spain, and the Pacific Ocean. Add imagined sea monsters and mark “unknown” areas.
4. Creative Writing: “My Voyage into the Unknown”
Prompt: You are a young explorer in 1500. Describe your dangerous journey into the unknown.
Write 3 paragraphs: before departure, at sea, and final discovery.
4. Sharing & Reflection
Students read stories aloud. Discuss:
What makes someone an explorer?
Would you explore the unknown?
